Silk Development is the real-estate arm of Silk Road Group, one of Georgia's largest and most established holdings, founded in 1997. Established in 2005 to lead large-scale real estate and urban projects, the company is developing Silk Towers in Old Batumi — a project with a stated total investment of approximately $700 million, designed on a concept by Kengo Kuma & Associates, the Japanese practice's first project in Georgia and the wider region. The development is planned to combine premium residences, a luxury hotel, event and commercial spaces, a yacht club, and wellness facilities, steps from the Black Sea and Batumi Boulevard.
